Bankruptcy Help Desk

A free walk-in help desk providing brief consultations and help filling out paperwork for people who have filed or are considering filing chapter 7 or chapter 13 bankruptcies that do not currently have an attorney.

Daley Center Eviction Brief Advice Desk

On the first and third Thursday of the month.

Located on the 14th Floor of the Daley Center from 9:00 am – 11:00 am, volunteer attorneys are available to meet with tenants whose cases are being heard in eviction court that day. Volunteer attorneys provide brief advice and referrals only.

 

Federal Court Help Desk (William J. Hibbler Memorial Pro Se Assistance Program)

The Hibbler Help Desk is a free, appointment only help desk providing advice and assistance to people without lawyers in federal court.

Juvenile Expungement Help Desk

A free walk-in help desk providing assistance with expunging your juvenile arrest, law enforcement, and court records, including help with advice and filing paperwork.

Rolling Meadows Courthouse Domestic Violence Help Desk

In partnership with Between Friends, Legal Aid Chicago supports a walk-in help desk providing consultation, advice, and document preparation for Orders of Protection and civil domestic violence cases. Walk-ins only; no appointment necessary.
